Since 2005, Sonny Downey has been involved in the Jacksonville, Florida real estate market. He and his partner Raymond Rivera opened an EXIT Realty Franchise in 2007 during the worst real estate and economic recession in recent history. Not only did the franchise survive the times, but it thrived, going from 20 agents to about 400+ agents over the next decade.
Sonny also remains very involved locally as the director of the local Multiple Listing Service for the past five years and recently became director of the Board of Realtors. He has also chaired the Education Task Force and Young Professionals Network for the Board of Realtors and he's one of the founding members of the Real Estate Bar Camp; otherwise known as ReBar Camp.
Sonny possess vast knowledge, as a member of the Certified Luxury Marketing Institute (CLHMS), hes completed numerous hours of education to provide higher quality service to buyers and sellers of luxury homes and in so doing, maximize their own success in the upper-tier. Hes earned his Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification which gives him specialty education to help understand that when military staff and their families relocate, understanding their needs and timetables make their transfer easier, faster, and less stressful.
Sonny believes in empowering other professionals by giving them the ability to empower their customers. He specializes in real estate coaching and has logged more than 5,000 hours of training and coaching with more than 1,000 agents.
